I just finished up a pool tournament in Las Vegas and this was the talk of the town so I had to check it out for myself! It looks like it’s going to be a fantastic event!
With the updates to the webpage,there are still a few questions revolving around the event.
I hope that it comes off and turns into the next big pool destination, and would like to get a booth just to try things out.
Personally, I think it’s going to be an amazingly good time,and so does everyone that I’ve sent to the site.

Is there going to be reserved VIP seating for the TV matches? if so, can be purchased online? or only at the door?
What is the definition of an amateur?
everyone but the top 64 pros. Kinda sucks if you ask me, but this is not the BCA – how do they know who is good and who is not? @Bigtruck

Are all divisions guaranteed first place money or just the 10Ball & One Pocket?
Be a member of a league as of June 1st 2009 for the team event. For the singles, the only way to know, we will have to go by “BCA points list” or “money list” or “member of league”, will have this rule posted on ASAP.

I was told that it wasn’t ‘a required thing’ to belong to any league to play in it. I am playing in it and I hope the guys I played in Las Vegas show up to play me again. Seems like a great time to go and do!

Phil we thought it would be better for all to put these rules in place so that
we do not have {allstar} teams… we are trying to make a level playing field
for all….see you there…

So the requirement to be a league member by June 1st for the team play was announced on June 29th? So I can only play in the singles?
Could you please clarify which tournaments will be played on what size tables?
Am mostly coming to watch,but should i want to play in the minies what would be required of me (Go SVB)
AM a member of the VNEA league in the bahama, so i can just show up a pay on the day of the event if i wanted to play

Yes, you can pay your entry on location. Please understand that there is a late registration fee involved if you do so, for each event that you enter. You can also pay your entry fees online or send the entry in the mail if you care to save a few dollars. The choice is yours.

do the players spouses need to purchase tickets or do the spouses get in with them ?
That depends on the tournament that the player is competing. Each pro player is given one pass for the arenas. Amateur players are given a discount on arena tickets but these tickets can only be purchased at the event.
What defines the female pro player? What master list are you referring to when you say one master player per team in the scotch doubles?
There are no dates or match play times listed for the Womens’ team or the Scotch Doubles, do you have them?
Is there a limit to the number of events one player may enter?

I noticed that you have an event listed as women’s amateur 8-ball but when I go to the schedule you have it listed as women’s Open 8-ball. Which is it?
Actually, it’s an amateur tournament. We’ll make an adjustment. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

Will brackets for each event be available online?
Yes, the brackets, the FREE LIVE STREAM, scoring and the stats will be available online.
Moody Gardens is a beautiful venue and the price of admission is quite reasonable. Live Streaming was free, so complaints should be kept in perspective – nothing can beat live action. Being here with all of these great pool players is an experience in itself.
